Strap-On Sweetie was founded as a music group back in 2005. Clifford Notes (aka. Alex Gross), and Carella Ross had been longtime musical comrades producing Ross' Turbovulva musical projects in the late nineties and early milennium. The two met via the famous Studio 11 in Chicago - what has become the epicenter of Chicago rap and hip hop music. Owned and operated by Mr. Notes and Dan Scalpone, the studios have provided forum for some of the most innovative musical talents of the decade. Working with a broad range of artists; from the likes of Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco to Mexican superstars Patrulla 81, Mr. Notes has always had an affinity for the eclectic - especially when it comes to fashion.

In 2004 Mr. Ross departed the cold Chicago winters for sunny Las Vegas. It was at this time that Strap-On Sweetie was born. One late morning outside the Luxor Hotel, a tranny prostitute solicited Mr Ross to be his "Strap-On Sweetie." The rest is "history" as they say... One phonecall later, the duo had the makings of the first Strap-On Sweetie collaborative "Mr. Mrs. Who U Don't F*ck". The excitement of the musical collaborations snowballed in the following years leading up to the release of the "Ruthie Roadwhore" EP. Mixed at Peter Gabriel's Box England estate, the EP brings about innovative rock electronic charm with the whimsical "Digital Mandy", the bombastic "Asa Nisi Masa", and the smashing title track "Ruthie Roadwhore".

After receiving numerous business offers regarding the musical project, the duo felt a general disconnect with the ethics prevalent in the music industry. Having always had a passion for fashion, Mr. Notes felt it was best to steer the project towards fashion and musical theater rather than cling to the fading glamour lingering in music. Furthermore, the duo felt it was vital to create a forum and business model by which other artists can gain exposure. Late 2008 gave birth to the all new straponsweetie.com, where music and fashion collide into an innovative and unique recipe. The addition of some very special artists to the cast has brought the company to fruition, increasing sales rapidly and promoting numerous music and fashion events.
